My classic chocolate chip cookies have always been a favorite of my baking. These cookies have the perfect amount of sugar and salt that will melt in your mouth. They have never failed me.
The first time I made a chocolate chip cookies I felt like the ratios were off, all I could taste was sugar. Now that I have experimented for years on different recipes and different ingredients, I have found the perfect chocolate chip cookie ever!
This recipe was mainly influenced by the Nestle Toll house chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Through my years of baking I have found that when it comes to anything with chocolate, the key ingredient is salt. While it is surprising, it is 100% true.
I hope you all will enjoy this recipe as much as I do!

Ingredients
1 1/8 cup (157 grams) All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 grams) Baking Soda
3/4 teaspoon (4.5 grams) Salt
1/2 cup (1 stick, or 115 grams) Butter softened
1/4 cup (57 grams) Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup (85 grams) Dark Brown Sugar packed
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mililiter) Vanilla Extract
1 Large Egg
1 cup (6 ounces, 170 grams) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2
Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl, set aside.
Step 3
In an electric mixer beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until fully combined and creamy. Scrape down the sides and add egg, beating until fully combined.
Step 4
With the electric mixer on the lowest speed, gradually beat in dry ingredient mixture. Once dry ingredients look combined, scrape down sides and bottom of the bowl and beat once more to ensure it is well mixed. With a spatula, fold in chocolate chips.
Step 5
Using a tablespoon scoop, drop a tablespoon of batter onto prepared baking sheet for each cookie. Leave at least 1 inch space between each cookie.
Step 6
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until golden brown along the edges of the cookies. Let cookies cool for at least 1 minute and ENJOY!!!
